The following dogs are currently looking for homes.
Whilst some information is given on these pages it is not a comprehensive guide
to the dog. If you wish to receive further information or discuss your
suitability to any of the dogs detailed please contact the telephone number for
"Rehoming/ Fostering" listed on the homepage.
Due to the amount of dogs we re-home and voluntary
basis on which it is done it may take a couple of weeks to get up-to-date
details of the dogs in our care. For this reason please contact us prior to
setting your mind on a particular companion. If you do not see a dog which
appears suitable please still contact us as the ideal companion may be waiting
to come into rescue.
It is the desire to ensure that each dog that we
re-home is going to the best possible place. For that reason it may be that we
deem a particular dog unsuitable for your home environment/ commitments, etc.

Buddy
Poor Buddy, we can’t decide if his
behaviour has caused him to have lots of homes (he’s had 5 or 6 that we
know of) or whether the fact that he has had lots of homes has caused
his behaviour (it’s a chicken and egg situation). When he is unsure of
himself he gets very grumbly and to some people may appear quite
aggressive, however he has never bitten and hasn’t ever shown any sign
that he would. The people that know him well just ignore him and carry
on with what they are doing and he is soon happy again. Most of his
homes were before he came to us and on the one occasion we tried to
re-home him he came back the first time he growled. We had explained
his situation in detail with the prospective owner and told them that he
had had so many routines and homes he would take a while to settle in –
they said they realised that and would give him all the time he needed,
this didn’t happen and he came back at the first hurdle. What he needs
is a home where he is going to be given a chance and plenty of time to
get used to his new routines and where someone is willing to work around
problems until they are sorted. We are all convinced that given the
chance he will make a wonderful pet. And he gets on with other dogs.

Fudge
Fudge
is a four year old working cocker
who is very loving and good with children and dogs. However we are
almost certain he is deaf and because of this he has almost non existent
recall. Added to this he is an escapologist and
likes to hunt so will need a very secure garden and unless taken walking in
a secure area may need to be kept on an extending lead to ensure he is kept
safe. He is definitely not a dog for a novice. |

Moss
Moss
is a dog with issues and will need a
male only home with someone who has extensive experience of dogs (preferably
problem ones). Although our policy is that our dogs are to live in Moss
needs to be living out (in purpose built warm housing of course). he's
quite friendly and loves walks etc. However when in a home environment he
can be unpredictable and sometimes aggressive. He needs to be kept active
and stimulated so would need a home where he can be given loads of time. He
isn’t a dog to enjoy cuddling and stroking (unless on his terms) and
wouldn’t be suitable to go to a home with children, but may enjoy the
company of a bitch (though would have to be kept separate at food times).
We can of course provide a much more detailed account of his life should you
feel that you may be able to offer him a chance |

Bracken & Lucy
Bracken & Lucy are 6 year old sisters, they
are spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and are looking for a new home as
their owner no longer has the time to give them that they require. Bracken
is quite boisterous and may inadvertently bowl over small children so we
would suggest they go to a home with older/no children. We are ideally
looking for a home where they can both go together as it may distress them
to separate.

Sam
Sam
is a 12 year old
entire male who has come into kennels due to the arrival of a new baby. He
is very active for his age and in good health. He is looking for a home
either alone or with a bitch. He likes the bitches quite a lot so will
probably need castrating despite his age.

Coco
Coco is s liver & white 9 year old and has
mostly lived out, he is nice natured but can be boisterous with children (&
loves to eat footballs. Until recently he has lived with a male
Labrador. He is a little overweight but this is probably due to the
fact that he has a thyroid problem, this is controlled by medication and
because of this Coco would qualify for our foster scheme. |

Angel & Ben
Angel & Ben are described as
Angel, small and bossy, Ben larger and obedient. They are used to children
but have not met many other dogs or cats. They are both neutered and used
to travelling and the grooming parlour etc. They are a good natured
pair who are devoted to each other and will need to be homed together.

Reggie
Reggie
is three years old and is looking for a
new home because his current man of the house works away and the lady does
not have time for both him and her 3 year old daughter. He isn’t a perfect
dog but could be given time and exercise. He does not like to be left and
will initially whine/moan, the neighbours say this stops after a few minutes
and he does bark at people coming/passing the house. He can be a little
nervous and although is happy for people to come to the house if they knock
at the door and are then invited in, he does not like it if people just walk
straight in. He is very friendly and loving and is good with children, he
just adores swimming.
