Max a sweet, if little complicated little black Sprocker boy. His Ideal home is one without children or dogs. He loves food & treats Loves to play ball. His recall will need a little work although he doesn't go too far away and does keep an eye on you. He doesn't chew & is fully house trained .
He really doesnt like the vets and although not particularly aggressive in that situation he may need to be muzzled. He does however absolutely love the groomers.
He has a bit of a thing about twigs, bits of grass etc & will fixate on them, its not as bad as shadow chasing but it is something he needs to be distracted from. Max likes to recycle if given a chance so you really have to watch him as he will eat his own poo or even roll in it . He has a senstive tummy but has been fine on Arden Grange Lamb & Rice .
Max likes to sit close to you (on the sofa) but he isnt really a cuddly dog. He likes a fuss but on his terms . He has had some quite serious ear problems ( this is potentially why he reacts as he does at the vets) This will need close attention & may be recurring . He is quite touchy round his ears & putting drops in can be a problem He will need supervision around livestock (way too interested in the goats).
He is a slightly nervous anxious delicate little lad who can be unsure of some situations and can stress He definately doesn't need pushing into a corner as he wouldn't cope with it and may react
Experienced kind patient adult owners would be ideal it does take him a bit of time to come round but in the right home ge would make someone a cracking little dog.
Max is on foster in Market Weighton and potentia adopters will need to travel to meet him.
